Maryanne Jacobsen is a contemporary impressionist with a distinctive and unforgettable style. Maryanne is a colorist who strives to create paintings that seek to capture the magic intrinsic in the Creator's own sacred palette, which He shares with all who choose to see His signature beauty, light and vibrant color.  Since she began painting in 2006, she has garnered numerous awards, including First Place and Best of Show, and has been juried into National shows that include The American Impressionist Society (2009 & 2013), American Women Artists (2013 &2014), and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society. She enjoys painting from life, and paints en plein air as often as possible. Although primarily self-taught, Maryanne has taken workshops with Kim English, Kenn Backhaus, David Leffel, Robert Liberace, Clayton Beck, Hodges Soileau and other artists that she admires. She is being collected enthusiastically in both corporate and private collections throughout the world by collectors who have embraced the passion and spontaneity embodied in her work.
